Biscuit Casserole
Ingredients:
1 ½ lb. ground beef
½ cup onion, chopped
½ cup celery, chopped
2 T. flour
2 (8-ounce) cans tomato sauce
1 small can sliced mushrooms, drained
1 t. salt
½ t. pepper
½ t. oregano
1 (10-ounce) bag frozen peas, thawed
1 can Pillsbury buttermilk biscuits
1 ½ cups Cheddar cheese, shredded
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large skillet brown beef, onion and celery until beef is cooked; drain. Stir in flour, tomato sauce whisking until thickened. Stir in peas, mushrooms and seasonings; simmer 5 minutes to thicken. Pour into a greased casserole dish; sprinkle cheese over. Top with biscuits and bake 20-25 minutes until biscuits are cooked and browned.
