Cheesy Chicken Nuggets and Noodles
Ingredients:
1 (12-ounce) package frozen chicken nuggets
1(12- ounce box) rigatoni
3 T. butter
½ cup celery, chopped
½ cup onion, chopped
1 T. chopped pimento
1 (28-ounce) can cream of chicken soup
1 cup milk
1½ cup Velveeta cheese, shredded
Salt & pepper to taste
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large pot, bring salted water to boil and add rigatoni. In a large pan, melt butter and sauté celery and onion until translucent, about 5 minutes. In a large bowl, stir together soup, milk, pimento, cheese cubes, cooked celery and onion, salt and pepper. Drain rigatoni and add to cheese mixture; mix to coat. Pour into a greased casserole dish. Bake 25 minutes. While casserole bakes, assemble chicken nuggets on a greased baking sheet and bake according to package directions. To serve, pile baked noodles on a plate and top with chicken nuggets. Kids will love it!
*Add an extra Kiddie-Touch! This recipe is also great with hot dogs! Just slice 6, cooked hotdogs and toss with pasta before baking.
