Scalloped Cheese Potatoes
Ingredients:
5 lbs. potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
1 cup half & half
¾ stick butter, melted
1 (16-ounce) package shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 t. salt
1 t. garlic powder
½ t. pepper
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Grease a 13x9 casserole dish. Place a thin layer of potatoes evenly over bottom. In a small bowl, combine half & half, salt, garlic powder, pepper and butter. Drizzle ¼ over potato layer. Top with ¼ of the shredded cheese. Repeat layering process, beginning with potatoes and ending with cheese; making 4 layers. Cover dish with aluminum foil and bake 45 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 15 minutes; or until potatoes are cooked through and cheese is melted.
