Spicy Apple Sausage Patties
Ingredients:
½ lb. ground pork sausage
½ lb. hot ground pork sausage
¼ cup buttermilk
1 cup pepper jack cheese, shredded
¼ cup finely chopped apple
2 T. finely chopped onion
½ t. salt
½ t. pepper
¼ t. garlic powder
1/8 t. oregano
Instructions:
Combine all ingredients together in a bowl. Shape into eight ½-inch patties, cover and refrigerate 1 hour. Fry patties in a skillet in 2 batches over medium heat 6-8 minutes per side until cooked through; pork is no longer pink. Drain on paper towels, serve warm with a drizzle of maple syrup.
