Stove Top Cranberry Sauce
Ingredients:
1 (16-ounce) bag fresh cranberries
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
Instructions:
Cook berries and water in a large skillet over medium heat until cranberries begin to “pop,” about 5 minutes. Sprinkle sugar over berries. Using the back of a wooden spoon, mash the berries and continue to cook and mash until sauce has thickened, about 10 minutes (and desired sauce consistency is reached. (I like my sauce chunky, so I don’t mash the berries too much after they pop). Store in refrigerator; the sauce will set after cooling for an hour.
